BlackBox AI Engineer Intern Overview
BlackBox is hiring for an AI Engineer Intern role with a strong focus on Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Small Language Models (SLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and prompt engineering. You will gain hands-on experience in building end-to-end AI solutions — from data pipelines and model integration to deployment on Azure, backend/frontend development, testing, and production monitoring.
This is a solid AI internship for students/final-year candidates who already have decent Python + Azure exposure and want real end-to-end Generative AI experience (RAG, LLMs, deployment). Great learning opportunity if you’re serious about AI engineering. Skip if you have zero Python experience or are only looking for basic data analysis internships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines (ETL), preprocess data for AI models
- Integrate foundational models (GPT, BERT) and implement RAG techniques using Azure AI
- Develop backend services & APIs (Flask/Django) and support frontend integration
- Design & execute testing protocols + automated QA for AI solutions
- Handle production deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management on Azure
- Create detailed documentation and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions
- Take ownership of assigned use cases with minimal supervision

Mandatory Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python for AI scripting and data handling
- Basic to intermediate experience with Azure AI services / Cognitive Services
- Understanding of data engineering concepts (ETL, preprocessing)
- Good problem-solving and self-starter attitude

- Experience with RAG techniques and prompt engineering
