IBM Visual / UI Designer Overview
IBM is hiring freshers for the role of Visual / UI Designer through their Kinetic Hiring drive. This is an entry-level position in IBM Consulting where you will work on design systems, visual concepts, UI screens, accessibility, and usability for client projects. You’ll get mentorship from experienced designers while working in one of IBM’s Client Innovation Centers across India.
This is a good entry-level UI/Visual Design role at IBM for 2026 design graduates. Strong portfolio is mandatory and will be the main deciding factor. If you don’t have a proper design portfolio showcasing UI, branding, or design systems work, don’t waste your time applying. Best suited for B.Des students with solid Figma + Adobe skills and good communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed visual designs, UI screens, and design systems for client projects
- Develop visual concepts, mood boards, style guides, and prototypes
- Ensure designs are accessible and focused on usability
- Collaborate with peers and senior designers to translate insights into final deliverables
- Present designs and prototypes to stakeholders effectively
- Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Eligibility Criteria for IBM Visual Designer
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design (B.Des) – Formal design education is mandatory
- Strong Design Portfolio (must be submitted with application)
- Proficiency in core design tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- 2026 Passout with No active backlogs
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Master’s Degree (M.Des)
- Knowledge of design methodologies – concept, mood board, branding, design systems, prototyping
- Experience with Mural or other collaboration tools
