Trainee – Live Events Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to collaborate with state governments, cultural departments and tourism boards for live music events
- Build and nurture relationships with bureaucrats, government officers and funding agencies
- Draft and present proposals, concept notes, decks and business cases for funding opportunities
- Arrange state-specific grant applications and track relevant government schemes and incentives
- Ensure documentation, compliance and reporting as per government requirements
- Manage timelines and deliverables for state-funded live entertainment projects
- Own P&L for assigned events and partnerships with business development teams
- Collaborate with finance, commercial, project and production teams on budgets and revenue forecasting
- Liaise with artist managers, booking agents and talent agencies for government-backed events
- Coordinate with legal, marketing, production and creative teams for integrated event delivery
- Manage MOUs, contracts and partnership agreements with legal consultation
Required Skills for BookMyShow Live Events Trainee 2025
Professional Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of government cultural schemes and policy frameworks in India
- Experience with festivals, concerts or state-sponsored events (preferred)
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, PPT and basic financial modelling
- Understanding of event budgeting, P&L management and grant applications
- Familiarity with legal documentation and compliance processes
