Teradata Software Engineer Opportunity 2026
Overview: Teradata is seeking talented Software Engineers to lead critical functions within the Teradata Vantage platform. This role offers autonomy to define technical direction, shape feature roadmaps, and work with cutting-edge AI ecosystems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain Python-based SDKs and libraries for Teradata Vantage and AI ecosystems
- Build modular, reusable Python packages with APIs and connectors for internal/external use
- Integrate LLM and agentic capabilities (LangChain, LangGraph, Model Context Protocol, etc.) into Python packages
- Ensure interoperability with cloud-native services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Teradata components
- Develop tools/utilities for simplified data access, orchestration, and intelligent context sharing
- Write unit/integration tests, conduct peer code reviews, and follow best coding practices
- Troubleshoot, optimize performance, and contribute to scalable distributed systems
- Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and platform teams in an Agile environment
- Document designs, APIs, and usage examples to drive adoption
- Support deployment of agent systems using Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- 1–3 years of software development experience (or strong academic/internship projects) in AI/ML, intelligent systems, or cloud-native applications
- Strong proficiency in Python (preferred); familiarity with Go, Java, or C++ is a plus
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend design
- Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, and Docker
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
