Amdocs GenAI Engineer Overview
Amdocs is hiring GenAI Engineers for their Pune location. This role focuses on using Generative AI and Agentic solutions to modernize enterprise applications, migrate them to AWS, debug mainframe-converted applications, and support end-to-end SDLC in cloud environments. The position requires strong Java development skills along with exposure to C/C++/ .NET and AWS CloudOps/FinOps practices.
This is a strong GenAI + Cloud Modernization role at Amdocs. Java is the primary language, with good exposure expected in AWS, GenAI tools, and basic knowledge of C/C++ or .NET. Candidates with 1-6 years experience who have worked on application migration, cloud projects, or GenAI-assisted development will be a great fit. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement GenAI-powered and Agentic solutions for application modernization
- Use Generative AI to assist in migrating applications to AWS and debugging mainframe-converted apps
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications (with exposure to C, C++, .NET)
- Execute end-to-end SDLC on AWS including development, deployment, testing, and operations
- Support CloudOps activities – monitoring, reliability, incident resolution
- Contribute to FinOps practices for cost optimization and governance on AWS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions
Eligibility Criteria for Amdocs GenAI Engineer
Mandatory Requirements
- 1–6 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or cloud engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Java application development
- Exposure to AWS cloud services (development, migration, or operations)
- Practical understanding of Generative AI concepts/tools applied to software development or modernization
- Good knowledge of SDLC in cloud environments
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Experience with C, C++, or .NET applications
- Exposure to mainframe application modernization
- Knowledge of CloudOps and FinOps practices
- Experience with AI-assisted migration or debugging tools
- AWS infrastructure, automation, or DevOps tooling experience
