Accenture Data Science Associate Overview
Accenture is hiring Decision Science Practitioner Associates for its AI – Hi Tech – Data Science team. This is an early-career role where you will support the development of Generative AI, RAG, agentic AI and analytics solutions for clients under guidance of experienced practitioners.
Good entry-level GenAI role at Accenture for 2024–2026 graduates who already have Python + basic prompt engineering or LLM project experience. Best for people interested in AI application development rather than pure traditional data science. Candidates without any hands-on AI exposure may struggle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of LLM-powered applications using prompts, APIs and established frameworks
- Contribute to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions by preparing and validating knowledge sources
- Assist in building and testing conversational AI applications and agent workflows
- Perform functional testing and validation of AI application outputs
- Develop Python-based components and integrations with APIs and enterprise systems
- Work with Azure and/or AWS AI services under supervision
- Create technical documentation and support testing, troubleshooting and deployment
Eligibility Criteria for Accenture Data Science Associate
Must-Have Requirements
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, data science, Generative AI or related engineering
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or related field
- Must-have skills: Python, SQL, Generative AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, APIs
- Willingness to work in Bengaluru (preferred), Kolkata or Gurugram
Good to have: RAG fundamentals, agentic AI concepts, LangChain/LangGraph, cloud AI platforms, machine learning fundamentals, Git, Docker, CI/CD
