Standard Chartered Apprentice Operations Overview
Standard Chartered is hiring Operations Apprentices for its Global Business Services (GBS) in India. This 12 or 24-month apprenticeship gives you hands-on experience in live banking operations — processing transactions, supporting clients, tracking metrics and learning risk & controls in a global bank.
Non-tech operations apprenticeship at Standard Chartered Chennai. Best for 2024–2026 B.Com / BBA / BBM / BMS graduates who are detail-oriented and comfortable with Excel/data. Pure coding or engineering profiles should skip this one.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day processing activities to ensure transactions are completed accurately and on time
- Help monitor operational performance and customer service standards
- Assist in resolving client queries and improving service outcomes
- Track key metrics and maintain data to support reporting and decision-making
- Support managers in overseeing transactions and meeting payment obligations
- Learn operational risk and controls and help ensure regulatory and policy requirements are met
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Eligibility Criteria for Standard Chartered Apprentice Operations
Must-Have Requirements
- Graduated in 2024 / 2025 / 2026
- Bachelor’s degree in B.Com, BBA, BBM, BMS or equivalent three-year undergraduate programs
- Legal right to work in India
- Strong academic performance and involvement beyond the classroom
- Confident working with data and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Detail-oriented, organised and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
