Colgate-Palmolive is hiring GIT (Global IT) Trainees for their Mumbai IT team on a contractual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for fresh graduates to join a global FMCG giant’s IT organization. You will work as a junior member of an engineering team, gaining hands-on exposure in full-stack development, data analytics, AI tools, cloud technologies, and agile processes while supporting real business products.
This is one of the better contractual trainee programs for 2025/2026 batch students who want to work in a reputed FMCG company’s IT team. Strong if you have good programming fundamentals (especially Python/React) and learning agility. Skip if you are looking for an immediate permanent role or have no interest in full-stack + data work.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a junior member in engineering teams building and maintaining products/services
- Support development using React, Node.js, APIs, and cloud technologies
- Apply Python for data manipulation and automation
- Work with SQL, data analytics, and visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives)
- Create clear documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Product Managers)
- Use AI tools effectively and contribute to process improvements
Eligibility Criteria for Colgate GIT Trainee
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (CS/IT preferred)
- Strong programming fundamentals in at least one language (Python preferred)
- Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Good understanding of React, Node.js, APIs, and cloud concepts
- Strong proficiency in SQL
