Tata 1mg is hiring Software Development Engineer – 1 (Frontend) for their Gurgaon office. This is a great opportunity for freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience to work on India’s leading consumer health platform. You’ll be building user-facing features using React, creating reusable components, and contributing to a high-impact product that serves millions of users.
This is a solid frontend role at a well-known Tata-backed company. Good for candidates who have strong React/JS skills and want to work on a real consumer product. If you only know basic HTML/CSS without any React or project experience, you might struggle in the interview. Freshers with good personal projects or internships in React have a fair chance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new user-facing features using React
- Build reusable UI components and front-end libraries
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, pixel-perfect code
- Optimize components for maximum performance across devices and browsers
- Write unit test cases for developed features
- Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and product teams
- Work with minimal supervision while delivering features on time
Eligibility Criteria for Tata 1mg SDE1 Frontend
Mandatory Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in Frontend Development
- Strong understanding of Web Technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS (AngularJS is also acceptable)
- Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
- Proficiency in Git for version control
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Familiarity with modern build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.)
- Experience in building responsive and high-performance web applications
- Understanding of state management (Redux/Context API)
