S&P Global is offering an Apprentice Quality Engineering position in Mumbai. This is a great hands-on learning opportunity for freshers to build a career in Software Testing and Quality Assurance. You will work on manual & automated testing, test case execution, defect tracking, and automation script development using tools like Selenium, Java, and Cucumber in an Agile environment.
This is a solid QA Apprentice role for freshers who want to start in Software Testing. Java + Selenium knowledge will give you a clear edge. If you have no prior testing or programming exposure, you may find it challenging initially. Good opportunity to learn automation and Agile practices at a reputed financial data & indices company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in manual and automated testing of software applications
- Write and execute test cases, identify & document defects
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium, Java, Cucumber, etc.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint testing activities
- Analyze test results and support root cause analysis
- Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to improve software quality
Eligibility Criteria for S&P Global QA Apprentice
Mandatory Requirements
- Recent Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Familiarity with Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of Selenium or any automation framework
- Understanding of RDBMS (Oracle preferred)
