American Express Apprentice Overview
American Express is hiring for its 12-month paid Apprenticeship program in Enterprise Technology Services across Bengaluru, Gurugram and Chennai. You will write code, work in agile teams, build APIs, design customer-facing applications, and get hands-on exposure to real engineering work while learning from experienced technologists.
Solid paid 12-month apprenticeship at Amex for recent CS/IT graduates who actually enjoy coding. Best suited for people comfortable with Java, JavaScript, Python or .NET and who want real project exposure rather than pure classroom learning. Pure non-tech or zero coding background candidates will not clear the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Write code using one or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, .NET, Python)
- Work as a core member of an agile team – contribute to API specs, code reviews, testing in sprints, and proof-of-concepts/automation tools
- Design and develop customer-facing applications across channels (native iOS, Android, web, social integration, Java services/APIs)
- Design and implement web-enabled systems for data collection
Eligibility Criteria for American Express Apprentice
Must-Have Requirements
- Completed graduation under Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering or other technical discipline
- Passion for technology and strong desire to learn
- Ability to write clean, functional code and work in an agile environment
