IBM Software Developer – Confluent Overview
IBM is hiring a Software Developer (Generalist) for the Confluent-related team in Bangalore. You will design, develop, test, and deliver software solutions in an Agile environment, focusing on back-end components, debugging customer issues, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines using leading-edge and proven technologies.
Solid mid-level software development role at IBM focused on Confluent technologies. Best suited for candidates with 1–3 years of back-end development experience who are comfortable in Agile teams and CI/CD. Pure front-end or pure data science profiles without solid coding and debugging experience will not fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, and test component-level software solutions, ensuring they are unit tested and ready for integration
- Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand stakeholder requirements and deliver solutions
- Debug customer-reported problems by designing, developing, and unit testing code fixes
- Contribute to the development of an automated CI/CD pipeline that takes code through various quality stages
- Test and deliver offerings using leading-edge and/or proven technologies

- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 – 3 years of relevant experience
- Exposure to Back-End Development: designing, developing, testing, and delivering back-end components
