KPMG Analyst – Consulting Implementation Overview
KPMG India is hiring an Analyst for Consulting Implementation in Bangalore. This role is part of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and involves SIEM alert monitoring, threat hunting, phishing analysis, incident handling, and quality assessment of SOC operations. It is a strong opportunity for candidates interested in Cybersecurity, SOC operations, and proactive threat detection in a Big 4 consulting environment.
This is a solid SOC-focused role at KPMG for candidates with an interest in cybersecurity operations. Good fit if you have exposure to SIEM tools, threat hunting, or incident response. Rotational shifts are mandatory, so apply only if you’re comfortable with that. SOC experience or Microsoft security tools will be a big advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and escalate SIEM alerts (Azure Sentinel and others)
- Perform email protection alerts analysis and malware review
- Conduct active threat hunting using network flow, user behavior, and threat intelligence
- Analyze phishing emails and raise incidents
- Follow Incident Response Playbooks and triage incidents
- Perform Quality Assessment and Process Deviation analysis for SOC operations
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and generate improvement recommendations
- Support critical cyber incidents with quality oversight
Eligibility Criteria for KPMG SOC Analyst
Must-Have Requirements
- BE/B.Tech / Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Good understanding of Cybersecurity concepts and SOC operations
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, Splunk, RSA, LogRhythm)
- Python scripting knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft Security tools (Defender, Sentinel)
- Certifications: CSA, CISM, CCSP, or Azure Security
- Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, OS, and networking
