P&G PC&IS/Automation Engineer Overview
P&G is hiring a PC&IS/Automation Engineer for their Hyderabad plant. You will improve machinery, process and control systems while leading teams. This role focuses on power systems, controls platforms, servo systems, HMI, robotics, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity. You will be at the core of breakthrough innovations in manufacturing.
This is a manufacturing automation role – not IT/software. If you have hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, or industrial control systems, apply. Electrical engineering or automation graduates with 0-5 years of experience are eligible. Freshers with strong projects in industrial automation or internships in manufacturing will be considered. Knowledge of electrical safety regulations is a must. Hyderabad location only.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead current and future engineering projects, including power systems, controls platforms, servo systems, HMI, robotics, network infrastructure and cybersecurity
- Provide technical leadership in utilities systems’ hardware and software design
- Develop junior engineers and technical resources – both in projects and day-to-day operations
- Lead and align resources in the PC&IS area to ensure proper functioning of electrical and control systems for production and packaging processes
- Responsible for the power and controls installation, integration, and start-up of new and/or upgraded equipment
- Own programming definition, testing, and execution for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) such as PLCs and HMIs, including robots, vision/detection systems, and other industrial automation
- Integrate Industrial Control Systems with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for process monitoring, reliability information, and quality control
- Lead electrical VATs (vendor acceptance tests) on purchased equipment
- Provide technical direction to vendors and engineering firms throughout all phases of projects (design through construction and startup)
- Contribute to project scope, cost, schedule, and resourcing
- Work collaboratively with site/global engineering, technical vendors, equipment suppliers, and production site personnel
Eligibility Criteria for P&G PC&IS/Automation Engineer
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation and Controls (or related degree)
- Entry-level to 5 years of work experience leading power, controls, and automation projects
- Experience (or ability to learn quickly) in power systems, computing and network technologies, machine control and instrumentation, vision systems, robotics
- Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment
- Experience with the regulated industry, such as Food, Cosmetic, or Drug for knowledge of GMP compliance
