Eurofins Associate Software Engineer Overview
Eurofins is hiring an Associate Software Engineer for their IT Delivery Center in Bangalore. This role is a mix of L3 Application Support and Development, primarily involving maintenance of legacy VB6 applications along with .NET Core development, SQL optimization, and reporting support (SSRS & Crystal Reports). Ideal for candidates with strong VB6 experience who also have exposure to modern .NET technologies.
This role is heavily focused on VB6 legacy application support (mandatory skill). Good opportunity if you have solid VB6 + SQL experience and want to work in a stable MNC with hybrid mode. Not suitable if you are purely into modern full-stack development or have no VB6 background.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as L3 escalation point for complex production issues
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
- Maintain and enhance legacy VB6 applications
- Develop and support .NET Core / C# applications (bug fixes & minor enhancements)
- Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and enterprise reports (SSRS & Crystal Reports)
- Handle Incident Management and ensure SLA compliance
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Mentor L1/L2 support engineers
Eligibility Criteria for Eurofins Associate Software Engineer
Must-Have Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in software development & L3 support
- Strong hands-on experience in VB6 (Mandatory)
- Good experience in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API
- Strong MS SQL Server skills (Queries, Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning)
- Experience with Crystal Reports or SSRS
- Bachelor’s in Engineering / MCA or equivalent
Good to Have Skills
- Azure DevOps
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environment
- Knowledge of legacy to modern application migration
