Quest Global is hiring a Trainee Engineer for Oil & Gas Data Analyst role in Bangalore. This position focuses on reviewing, cleansing, and migrating large technical asset datasets for Oil & Gas clients. You will work with Python, SQL, BI tools, and data migration processes to ensure high data quality and successful transfer into SAP systems. Ideal for recent graduates interested in data engineering within the energy domain.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, profile, and cleanse large technical asset datasets from APM systems
- Analyze unstructured free-text data and standardize it using rule-based or NLP techniques
- Collaborate with SMEs for source-to-target data mapping
- Support design and execution of data migration plans and load routines
- Extract and query data using SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy)
- Develop dashboards and reconciliation trackers using Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire
- Perform pre-load and post-migration validation testing
- Conduct root cause analysis on data issues and create technical documentation
Eligibility Criteria for Quest Global Trainee Engineer
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, IT, or related field (Recent Graduate)
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire
- Foundational knowledge of data cleansing and text processing/NLP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of Oil & Gas engineering concepts and technical drawings (P&IDs, PFDs)
- Familiarity with enterprise ERP or database systems
